Dwight Bell founded Cannon Equities in 2001 as a diversified investment/development company specializing in both commercial and residential institutional grade real estate. Target projects are uniquely located in select markets and range in size from $5 to in excess of $100 million. Mr. Bell brings a long track record with 30 years of real estate experience to the Atlanta and other major US markets. Mr. Bell has significant experience in managing the “value enhancement” process on both existing properties as well as new development opportunities, as exemplified by his diverse and successful real estate accomplishments. Through his network of relationships throughout the United States and abroad, Mr. Bell has a strong record of identifying and successfully executing real estate projects with a variety of US based and international investment partners.

Mr. Bell has committed Cannon Equities to be responsible as an investor/developer and provider of services. All of Cannon’s projects and services are performed through sustainable practices. This is exemplified by Mr. Bell founding EcoMetrix Environmental Management, LLC — which is a related entity that provides sustainable consulting to Cannon and a variety of third party clients including the Atlanta Braves Baseball Club, Wofford College, and Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

Prior to forming Cannon, Mr. Bell was a founding partner in BOSS Properties which operated successfully out of Atlanta for twelve years as a development/investment company for commercial and residential real estate. Mr. Bell’s track record also includes working as a senior executive for Southeast Region of Hines Interests. While at Hines, Mr. Bell was integrally involved in a variety of successful projects ranging from mixed-use land developments, to large scale vertical development with US and European based investors. Hines Interests is one of the largest real estate companies in the world.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Bell served for 15 years on the Board of Directors of the US Olympic Committee. He led the successful 2002 US Olympic Team (211 athletes) at the Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City as the Chef de Mission (Team Leader) to a record setting 34 medals. Mr. Bell also served on the Board of Trustees, Management Committee, and Finance Committee of the Salt Lake City Olympic Organizing Committee for the 2002 Olympic Games which was one of the most successful Olympic Winter Games in history. Most recently, Mr. Bell was honored to be a member of the International Olympic Committee’s Evaluation Commission for the 2014 Olympic Winter Games. The final cities of: Pyeong Chang, Korea; Sochi, Russia; and Salzburg, Austria were evaluated by the Commission with Sochi, Russia ultimately being awarded the 2014 Games. Mr. Bell currently serves as the President of the US Luge Association (one of eight Olympic governing bodies for winter sports in the US).

Mr. Bell received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Commerce and Business Administration from the University of Alabama. He is a member of the US Green Building Council, National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI).
